About the Practice of Dr. Anders Beier, LPC

Anders BeiersSince 2005, I have been working in the field of psychology and gaining significant, varied experiences from institutional and clinical settings in several Western states. I have been a licensed psychotherapist, or Licensed Professional Counselor, in Colorado since 2012.

My education:

2013: Ph.D. in Psychology with specialization in Jungian Psychology from Saybrook University, San Francisco, CA

2008: MA in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, Santa Barbara, CA

2000: MA in History from University of Copenhagen, Denmark

1997: BA (History) from University of Copenhagen, Denmark

I provide insight-oriented psychotherapy to individuals and couples. I believe it is important to carefully tailor therapy to the needs of each individual client and in cooperation with the client.

My orientation is predominantly Jungian and my roots are in Depth Psychology, which provides the foundation for most of my therapeutic work. Eastern contemplative psychology is also frequently integrated into the treatment, if the client is open. I comfortably use both CBT and DBT modalities if they are deemed helpful.

I have experience treating individuals (adults and teenagers) struggling with life questions, depression, anxiety, substance abuse or self-esteem issues. Couples who experience “stuck-ness” in their relationship, communication issues, or are engaged in serious interpersonal/marital issues are likely to benefit from a depth psychological approach.
